& how does a cannibalized plastic baggie differ from a plain old ordinary plastic baggie?
Mine "appears" to be in good condition, considering it's been working there for 26 years.
I would use a large freezer back, cut it into a strip about 7" high, 12"-14" long, wrap it around
the joint and zip tie it in place, leaving a little bulge breathing/movement space inside.
