Keeping the NVC fluff to a minimum after Friday but not so old, I have my eye on a Syncro hardtop here in town that is owned by the scion of the family that owned the VW dealership here, a business now sold and moved under some massive corporate dealership umbrella. He grew up working in that shop and bought the van new, but mostly drives a Chevy pickup now for his photography biz. I learned those details from another former employee of the same dealership who remembers him as a kid in the shop, and that guy also owns a Syncro he'll probably never part with. And there's a third guy still at that corporate dealership with yet a third Syncro that will probably need to be pried from his cold, dead hands. If I can outlive any one of those three I'll be golden. More older, non-VW stories for Friday next.
