Subject:Re: optima batteries that fit under the driver's seat

The early VW Diesels and many Audi vehicles used a group 49 which about 2" longer and slightly taller than the 41. The group 48 should also be taller than the 41. sometimes since the 48 is so close in size they will label a 41 as a 48. A true 48 is to tall for the stock compartment. A shame as there are group 48 AGM batteries available.

Dennis,
And I still can't type on this Windows 8 Phone!

I get the 48 ..
I believe that's a diesel vanagon battery with 600 CCA's ..

lol - - walmart..I bought a battery from them once.
When I came back the next day with my core they were totally confused.
there's a giant new WM where I am.
I may never go on their lot the rest of my entire life.

the 48's I'mgettingare about $ 79 with no sales tax,
and outright replacement for a year. I keep about 9 personal cars running..
they'll all take that battery except one mercedes coupe.
