Hi folks: I think it was Karl from Westy Ventures who first recommended the universal 12220 batteries. I have been using these things for 4+ years now, and this is one of the only batteries that has lasted for me. What prompted me to write this is I just went out to the van to retrieve one of my batteries that has not been charged for a while, and much to my amazement it was still fully charged. That's pretty impressive considering it's -44 below here in Fairbanks. I think it was about a month ago that I put a charger on it. I had a second one that was indoors, and it too is fully charged. I've used these batteries a bunch! By comparison, my Wally world deep cycle 105 amp hour battery will not hold a charge after only one year. It has actually never even been used. I installed it late last year, and has yet to go on any camping trips. I had a trickle charger on it for quite a while, but it doesn't seem to want to hold a charge. I suspect they will take it back, but it's kind of a pain to lug the sucker around with a bad back. I just as soon the thing worked! Probably should have bought a Trojan, but the warrantees were the same. Troy
