No fuel AND no spark! Brain dead Vanagon. Another example of good "Carma" that VW's I've owned have had--all breakdowns were close to home, some even in the driveway! SOMEONE (I) didn't seat it fully when he (I) swapped out the ECU when trying to located the source of hot weather steep uphill grade shutdowns last summer. I'll have to have a talk with him (me). Scott asked whether I considered the possible risk to the propane tank when I drove off that curb. Scott doesn't understand that I'm not nearly as bright as he hopes I should be. I concur. By all accounts I should have mashed the oil pan or exhaust bits when the rear tires hit the street. There was no damage anywhere on the underside, a minor miracle considering the height of the curb. (It looked less tall when I approached it last night -- no excuse, I'm just sayin'.) -- Jack "Rocket j Squirrel" Elliott 1984 Westfalia, auto trans, Bend, Ore.
