"I didn’t think the Germans encouraged drinking and driving." They certainly don't mind drinking with other divided-attention tasks. After getting out of college with a German minor I managed to get a summer job at BMW in Munich doing various pre-assembly jobs and was stunned to find an assortment of beers available on the snack cart that came through the factory at break time. It's probably a grand old tradition but gives one pause to wonder about the workplace accident rate due to consumption. I traveled by bicycle while there so cannot comment on drinking and driving. But I did manage to take a short vid of a unique/questionably practical cupholder in action. Pics, vid etc here: http://shufti.wordpress.com/2013/02/10/vanagon-spillbuster-cupglass-holder/ alistair
