You guys are not familiar with gimballed stoves and drink holders for sailboats ? Unless this is something 'more' ..there's nothing new or unique about a two axis gimbal system. That they use the word 'gyro' with the product. that implies a full time spinning disc .. if it's powered and uses that technology ..fine . then 'gyro' is appropriate. otherwise it appears to me to be an ordinary two-axis gimballed mount. Been on another planet for a while ? or am Imissing some informationand it's more than the common thing I think it is ? about leveling the van .. there's an iphone app for that ! and lots of travel trailers and RV's have small level mounts on their outside corners. For a man of your engineering talent, I expect a LED lighted dashboard version of one of those wave machines I remember seeing back in the 80's: > > http://www.lavalites.com/wave_discontd.html > > That would pimp out your Vanagon nicely, with the added benefit of a built in level to help you find a perfect spot you camp on some of those logging roads. > > -Jarrett
