Mike, How tolerant are those brass compression fittings on metric size lines? I saw an 86 Vanagon at a local wrecking yard last month, that had a plastic clutch line. The line had been cut but there was enough line left to make up a "new" section for my purposes. How easy it this material to heat up and form/bend? Thanks. -Dick- -----Original Message----- From: Mike B [mailto:mbucchino@charter.net] Sent: Saturday, February 09, 2013 8:40 PM To: Dick Wong Cc: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Looking for parts How about cutting it at the hole and using a compression union? Home Depot and Lowes sell one that has a inner end reinforcement for plastic flex tubing. Very easy to install. Mike B.
