A few things to remember buying fabric. 1.) It fades like crazy. You need UV resistant fabrics. Or for window treatments, a UV resistant backing fabric (goes towards the window) that also cuts down on early morning light. 2.) Automotive seat fabric has UV inhibitors as well as has been extensively tested for wear, stain resistance, and a million other things I don't remember. My ex designed auto fabrics back in the 90's. 3.) There is no #3 4.) Hancock's Fabric generally is not at the top of the fabric chain. Don't think that all fabric in all shops is equal. I would go to a Calico Corners and look at their fabrics, have a good long discussion about fabrics suitable for upholstery with an emphasis on UV protection. Or... plan on re-doing it every couple of years. tim in san jose On Tue, Feb 19, 2013 at 4:37 PM, ralph meyermann <ralphmeyermann@gmail.com> wrote: > Its true that darker colors will make it feel smaller inside, but they do > hide stains better.
