Yes, that sounds like a CV joint failure.

I have an 89 2.1L GL, and while driving home from work I heard a clunk and
the car wouldn't go. Clutch worked just fine, just no drive. Could it be a
busted joint that spins and makes a clicking noise.
I have had this van longer than any car in my life, and I want to keep it
going as long as humanly possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
