The list *encourages* but does not require bottom or in-line posting.

List policy *requires* trimming unnecessary quoted material.  Buying
a phone or using a service that makes it easy to forget this is not a
reason not to do it.  The fact that someone has needed to complain
about it means I haven't been doing my job.
