I think Joe Gibbs Racing Hi Zinc Forumlation 15W50 works well in my
waterboxer vanagons.
Available in conventional, that I use, or synthetic too I believe. .

OP gauge is a good thing to have once miles get pretty high on a
waterboxer engine.
