On my '84 Westy I ran a fused wire from the house battery (under the
drivers seat) up behind the fwd edge of the cabinet (at the wall),
behind the curtain & into the tray/shelf. I then moved the wires
running the back inside lights to this fused hot wire.
Worked well.
