Even that size is a large tire at just over 29 inches. This is almost 4 inches over stock. Keep in mind that many drive line parts were originally designed back for the 68 Bus with less than 60 HP and a much less weight. While I am a fan of different tire sizes for many reasons you have to be aware of the compromises involved. For off road many travels modifications make the transition from being stuck in the mud or sand to being broken down. These tires won't be on full time. My other, saner tires (225/75/16s,) are mounted on another set of wheels. Those I run on a regular basis, though this vehicle is not my daily driver. Still bigger than stock, but not as crazy.....but yes, I do know what I'm getting into. Just having some fun....you have to pay to play. This is my only toy, BTW. Everything else I do, cycling and rafting, is much easier on the drive train..... Miguel
