I've had better luck with the spring loaded replacement tubes.

I found the adjustable ones work well for a while, but one the seals get
hard, they start leaking when hot. The tubes don't expand as much as the
engine does.

BTDT! You need a set of adjustable pushrod tubes like these:
http://www.jbugs.com/product/4012BP.html?Category_Code=vw-bugpack-pushrods-t
ubes (Call to make sure they will fit). These don't come with the end
gaskets, so get those too and your leaks will be gone forever.

Have fun!

Hello to all...looks like new push rod tubes will be need to be replaced
on my 85 westy..any and all recommendations/comments and where to locate
these tubes would greatly be appreciated. Although 2 are leaking/rusted, I
will replace all 8 at same time.

Much thanks to you all. DS
