1987, Weekender. A/C. 155,500 miles. New Audi 2.5L, I5 engine installed by PO in May 2003 at 134,274 miles. All gauges working, but fuel gauge shows 3/4 full when tank is full. 27x8.50-14 tires with lots of meat on steelies, but spare is a 205/70-14 on a factory alloy. Only surface rust on a few areas. A few dings. Need 3 CV boots, one tie rod end, and one steering rack boot. Probably shift linkage bushing soon. Very clean interior. SS coolant pipes. Paid $9000 in November 2012. PO tried to sell it a year of two previous for $10,000 and there were no takers. Now being resurrected after engine fire in December. -Dick Wong- 78 Scirocco Original Owner 87 Vanagon Syncro 2.5 (slightly crispy) Third Owner 12 Golf TDI Original Co-Owner -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of JRodgers Sent: Sunday, March 24, 2013 3:19 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Syncro Tintops Just wondering syncro tintops are worth these days.
