I was juggling the bumpers on my 85 on Fri. the chromed, u-channel looking, bumper covers are held on with 6 bolts - 2 front, 4 rear - all the same. under the rubber strips - 2 and 2 - front and rear. 2 more bolts up under the rear at the tow hooks. 13mm head appears to read LOBO 8.8 - 2.5 mm long by just over a half mm diameter. 20 threads per inch as already stated. � h t h � � � � mike

Hello list,

Can Anyone tell me the appropriate specs for the bumper bolts on an 85
vanagon. This one has the metal bumpers. It seems a PO owner
put different bolts in when securing the bumper top to the chassis. The
bumper is now loose and in need of replacement bolts.
