In the World of Aviation - in comparing the virtues of a single engine airplane vs a twin engine airplane - it is often said that with the twin engines you have twice the opportunity for an engine failure and less that a 50/50 chance of keeping the thing airborne. Currently, of my three licensed Vanagons - one works well enough to be the daily driver, one has limited drivability (no night driving, no driving in bad weather) and the third is not drivable - period! It seems the way of it!
