Gene Berg did more for the aircooled engines than anyone would have thought possible in an attempt to get Porsche power out of them: http://www.geneberg.com/meetourteam.php I've bought many of his parts over the years, and since it isn't Friday here is the Vanagon content: I added his quick shift kit (http://www.geneberg.com/cat.php?cPath=17_486_2978) and shift lever extender to my '84 Westy. Very nice inexpensive options I highly recommend. Stuart Automatic '85 Westy, 3 million shifts is enough. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Ben Sent: Saturday, May 11, 2013 10:48 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Cutting tool question...cylinder head pocket If you must buy one here's a couple of places you can check out: http://www.geneberg.com/cat.php?cPath=392_2919 http://www.piersideparts.net/SE98016.html There was one for sale a few months ago on the Samba for less than half the prices quoted above but looks like it sold.
