Bryan there was somebody in Ga doing it IIRC, george has a aba with a 1.8L
head installed using their stuff.  I put a 1.8L using vannie diesel stuff
into my 85 westy , nice thing was I didn't change any of the engine
controlls,  wiring, ECU , ingnition is all 85 vannie . I got a little more power
using a GTI  head and a sport cam and the audi exhust manifold and the jetta
air flow(it 's  opening is bigger)    I have been running it for about 4 years
 now and love it   later  mark D
