I had an 'always on' issue when I replaced one of the two brake light switches (which was leaking through it's electrics). Despite having obtained them both from the same provider, some multimeter testing proved that they were wired differently (and I had to rewrite the connector). Your pour problem will almost certainly be with one of the two switches - disconnect each of them in turn and test. The forward-most one is a bitch to replace - lots of small spanner movements in a tight space. Only other thing I can think of is that you have a crossed circuit (which is providing power to the braking circuit) somewhere - if so it's probably from a frayed wire (although this is unlikely - start with some thorough testing of both braje switches) -Dan Sent from my iPhone On 26/05/2013, at 6:03 AM, Finn Runyon <finnrunyon@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > So the brake lights on the 87 Westy I gave my daughter and son in law won't turn off. Some times if the fuse is pulled and then replaced the next day they do in fact turn off. If I disconnect the switch they stay on, and if I jump the wires on the switch they stay on. I don't see any reference of this issue in the archives nor on Samba. Any ideas? > > Thanks, > Finn Runyon in Taos NM > 87 Westy Pooh > 89 Westy Roo
