It looks like stock to me. I will check the Bently manual as well as all the good advices.

I think your other questions have been answered but you didn't say whether
the cruise control is stock (original VW) or after market.� If stock there
is a very good trouble shooting guide in the Bently manual.� If after
market a whole different story.
