That crossing north of Kingston, the 1000's Islands area, is beautiful!! We
take that crossing when we go visit my sister in Watertown, NY. It's
usually not real busy either.

If you're heading to the coast then I would suggest Bar Harbor, ME, Camden,
ME is beautiful, and Portland is nice too. There are lots of little towns
along the coast as well.

I can't say enough about Camden adn Bar Harbor.
