Dave,

I am about 40 minutes from Acadia, so if you need suggestions on where to
stay I would suggest Lamoine State Park. It's across the bay from MDI and
it would cost you a fraction of what a commercial camp ground will charge.
There is a Walmart close and they do encourage camping in their parking
lot.
Acadia is beautiful but very very busy in the summer, so do plan ahead! At
any rate I will see you at West River.
