YOU are being reasonable. The VENDOR is being disingenuous. What the hell does "for reference" mean if not reference to the part pictured being the one offered for sale? I have had this experience also. Sadly, straightforwardness in retail sales is becoming more and more a thing of the past. Sometimes vendors will post a disclaimer, stating that the part pictured may not be the one offered. Next, they will be saying that if they list a part number, that is "for reference only," and if the part shipped is different from the one listed, well, too bad. mcneely ---- bernie <1234bjs@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > I do not order many parts online so I'm requesting some input from others > who are more experienced in this regard. > I ordered a set of spark plug wires and the part number showed wires with > the > metal heat protectors. > I assumed that is what I would get. > There were other cheaper ones with no picture but I choose the most > expensive > with the metal heat protectors. > The ones I received did not have the metal heat protectors > They were put on and lasted 5000 miles before the heat put holes in them and > engine started to miss. > I have installed new ones with the metal protectors. > When I discussed with vendor about not getting the ones I ordered they said > that the picture was for reference only. > Am I being unrealistic to expect that I would receive the part pictured > online and referred to by the part number. > Input would be appreciated. > > Thank you, > > Bernie -- David McNeely
