OK, now that I'm back from the land of "what the H*$L was he thinking?" I found the problem.  I replaced the reservoir with all the lines and cylinders, and of course the reservoir comes equipped to use with automatics.  Duh. The clutch port comes blocked off.  Must've been the heat...
