Craig makes a good point.  When I put an amp meter in my aux circuit (feeds
everything) and started operating different items my stereo (basic, no amp)
by far sucked the most juice, more and more as the volume was turned up.  I
don't remember the exact readings but I do remember making a mental note to
keep the volume down (or stereo turned off) if worried about battery levels.
