So all the posts regarding adding solar has the creative juices flowing.  I wonder if anyone has mounted one large or several say 50ah batteries under a vanagon.  I was thinking they could be mounted on a piece of 1/2 inch plywood wired and slipped into one of those waterproof canoe dry bags and then mounted up within the space under the sliding door.  Has anyone tried this, and or what are your thoughts about such a system.  We all attempt to conserve storage space, hence the updated propex that can be mounted outside the vehicle.
