I'm 48 and have been driving VW vans since I was 19 > split (1) > bay
(1) > T3 (4).  I have the opposite problem from lots of you, in that
my partner desperately wants Syncro camper (despite her complete lack
of $), and I'm just fine with a 2wd tintop and being a sedentary slug
tinkering away in my shop, rather than hitting the open road in a big
shoebox.  We each choose our own pathways to hell; mine's just really
really short
