Extra Fuel is a highly refined solvent with the light volatile compounds eliminated. Octane is a C8 H18 hydrocarbon and used as the detonation standard in testing fuel blends, hence "octane rating," so there is likely a lot of octane in this product. It's definitely an interesting idea, but at $35/half gallon you are not going to carry much! http://www.gizmag.com/extra-fuel/24554/ Stuart -----Original Message----- Rocket J Squirrel wrote: "If you must keep some fuel available on a regular basis consider one of the safer gasoline alternatives such as this. http://extrafuel.net/ "I don’t completely understand how it works but it does." That stuff just seems weird. -- Jack "Rocket j Squirrel" Elliott 1984 Westfalia, auto trans, Bend, Ore.
