Anything that holds the horizontal rail against the side of the van will do the job. Obviously the rain gutter and included clamps work fine, unless you have a roof rack obstructing the rain gutter. But if you do, the Velcro straps (or rope) could be used in any number of ways. Attaching the pole to the roof rack is one option. Another that comes to mind might be a couple sections of large dowel in the roof rack (where not obstructed by the roof rack), held in place by the included clamps, with the awning rail placed directly above or next to the rain gutter and a few velcro strips holding it to the dowels. (The Velcro strap comes in one large length that can be cut to size to form multiple straps as needed.) That is just a thought that comes to mind offhand. There are probably other options depending on the specific situation. . - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. www.busdepot.com (215) 234-VWVW _____________________________________________ Toll-Free for Orders by PART # : 1-866-BUS-DEPOT
