Thanks for posting that. I've been eyeballing folding panels lately. Good to know there's a relatively high watt panel that actually fits in the luggage rack. One possible advantage to a PWM controller is that it will handle mixed sizes of solar panels. If I'm not misunderstanding, the MPPT controller won't track as well with mismatched panels. i.e. if one wanted to add another larger panel later on. Using clues from Johns blog, I bet he used this panel: http://www.ebay.com/itm/80W-Solar-Panel-complete-kit-regulator-cable-perfect-for-caravan-boat-BOSCHcell-/321073962405?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ac17fdda5 Being a single man, this would be my choice ;) (another 80 Watt panel): http://www.ebay.com/itm/80W-80-WATTS-SOLAR-PANEL-18V-WILL-CHARGE-12V-BATTERY-/180506994296?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a070e2678 On Thu, Jul 25, 2013 at 5:09 PM, J B <jbever@excite.com> wrote: > First of all, thanks to everyone here for their input, knowledge, and ideas on solar power. > > Please feel free to check out my latest blog showcasing my solar panel installation > > http://1981vwcamper.blogspot.com/ > > John. -- Neil n Blog: tubaneil.blogspot.ca '88 Westy http://tinyurl.com/c8rlw6p '81 VanaJetta 2.0 "Jaco" http://tubaneil.googlepages.com/ Vanagon VAG Gas inline-VR Engine Swap Group: http://tinyurl.com/d7gd5ej
