55 watt backup light?!! I assume this is in an add-on light, and not in the stock housing. It could be getting too hot in there though. Try moving the connection a bit to clear and filling it with high temp silicone. PICS Hi all. Trust me to find something arcane like this. ;) On a recent trip, my new back up light failed. Images/text: https://picasaweb.google.com/musomuso/WesternMidWATripJuly13#590291075730719 6610 At the time, I didn't realize that this is a standard H3 bulb which can be found at your local FLAPS. I purchased a spare Hella bulb. It appears to have the same potential flaw as the original unlabeled bulb. Some pics: https://picasaweb.google.com/musomuso/H3BulbWireIssue# Easy fix but and the bulb itself may be just fine, but have to wonder about bulb longevity given what appears to be lazy workmanship or poor tooling design.
