I just trouble-shot a rear wiper on a '91 syncro. With that one the fuse kept popping, when I pulled the panel and looked at the motor I saw that the motor was burned out, making a direct short inside. Evidence of heat on panel and the end of the motor was rotten. I just looked at Bentley, couldn't see rear wiper on '85 diagram, but on '86 it is fuse 12 cheers alistair On 2013-07-27, at 12:23 PM, Eric Caron wrote: > Hello listers. > > I really like having all things possible working on my van. Before trying to reconnect the wires I would like to ask if there is a reason why the rear wiper motor would be deliberately cutt off that way? Any advice before I try connecting them again? > > As I can't see the book to identify the correct fuse knowing which one might be affected would be a big help. > > > Tips and recommendations are greatly appreciated. > > Eric Caron > 85 GL Westfalia Auto
