The first year for the tach was 84 Wolfsburg models and those did not
have the green zone on the tach, only the red zone. Also the circuit
foil on the back of those does  not extend over the back of the speedo
like 85 and newer does.

Lots of people selling instrument clusters seem to list them with the
wrong year/model stated.
