Eric, the swivel platform is bolted on, and the tightness of the bolts controls how easily the seats turn. The difficulty with that that I found is that when the bolts are loosened enough to make the seat turn easily, then it wiggles very slightly -- not much, but enough to be bothersome when underway. They can be locked down so they do not turn. They can be tight. They can be easy to turn, but will wiggle. At least that's my experience with my 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Campmobile. I concluded that VW intended them to turn, but not easily. Or, I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what. mcneely ---- Eric Caron <ecaron1@COMCAST.NET> wrote: > I have a couple of seat questions for you more experienced folks. > > First is that my seats are very difficult to turn.
