That is a design feature. The factory Syncro tail pipes are designed that way. I am not fond of the tail pipe as it is angled incorrectly at the end of the pipe. The angle is wrong . It is shorter on the top and longer on the bottom . A small issue, but wrong nonetheless . I'd like to use stainless, and the only one I can find is from GoWesty for a 2.1. Can I use this on my 1.9? They say it "doesn't fit with the rest of the system" but the woman in the phone couldn't be specific-will it rub, face the wrong direction, or what? > > If I can use the GoWesty one, I'll get it and a stainless strap. Otherwise, I'll get it all from Advance Auto. Code TRT30 gives 30% off, and they've got a stainless muffler and a steel tail pipe. > > Thanks, > Ed
