I noticed the station nearby that sells it, they are charging more than a dollar a gallon more for it than even high test blend. I think it has something to do with our location, on the Columbia River Gorge, where Harleys from the cities across the mountains often cruise, by the thousands, on weekends. They have to use the highest possible octane gas, I guess, due to being air cooled still and quite high in compression ratio despite making not too much HP.......I get a kick out of pulling into a station near a bunch of them on my Honda sport bike and filling it with regular and watching them scratch heads....they don't usually get it...They can really plug up a gas station when a dozen or more pull in and get topped up, each rider often paying seperatly and being somewhat awkward moving their large heavy bikes around in close quarters... My Inline VW motor does have higher performance with the Good Stuff...it's compression ratio, slightly improved camshaft grind and tuned exhaust respond well to real gas without ethanol. Mileage is 2-3mpg + also...but that doesn't pencil out as a saving to use it at over $1.00 more per gallon...does it?
