Hello, Looking for a little advice. I'm sure in the end I will be heading into a shop but it always helps to have as much info as I can. I have a 1990 VW Westfalia. With roughly 3,350 miles on a new engine and transmission that were installed around January of this year. We had a long winter and I travelled for work most of the summer so not a lot if miles put on. I just moved to the Arlington, Virginia area. I hauled the van out here behind a uhaul truck on a car trailer. So on the first trip out here I noticed that the radiator fan was kicking on immediately and staying on for the entire trip. The temperature gauge rises up to the middle, right at normal operating temp. It stays there. But when I go around and check the oil or open up the engine compartment, the engine feels hotter than usual. Any thoughts on why the radiator fan kicks on immediately? Thoughts? Thanks in advance. Also any recommendations on shops in the Arlington, VA area? Regards, Bill Sent from my iPhone
