I mounted two on the front bumper of my 84 Westy and drove across Nevada on Highway 6 down to past Rachel to Caliente. Long drive and open range land, the cattle were looking up and some of them would run away when�before we even�passed by. Maybe the plastic whistles were not the reason. �Maybe they had never seen a Vanagon before. Maybe they did not like our�California Plates.��Knock on Wood; I have never hit a deer yet. I also installed Hella� Fog lamps that will light up a dark edge along the road. So I hope that helps someone as the whistles are so inexpensive you don't have much to lose.
