I continue to be amazed that non-alcoholic fuel is so much more expensive than the alcoholic variety in some locations. I wonder if these stations only sell non-alcoholic gasoline in higher octane versions. Here (Oklahoma) and other places where I have bought it, alcohol free runs a few cents higher at a given grade than the alcoholic stuff. Stations I buy from generally have only non-alcoholic or only alcoholic, and offer three grades. I did see a Seven Eleven in Oklahoma City a few days ago that had ethanol free only in the highest grade, I think it was 93 octane. It was about a dollar higher than 87 octane, but only 7 cents higher than alcoholic 93 octane. I buy only 87 octane in this part of the country. At high altitudes I notice that octane rating for regular may be 85, but the alcoholic/non-alcoholic price ratio is usually similar to what I see at home. mcneely ---- Loren Busch <starwagen@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > RE: Non Ethanol Gas > I just noticed today that the gas station at Wild Horse Casino > (Pendleton Or.) has gas without ethanol, about 40 cents higher. -- David McNeely
