I'm probably the vendor where you saw it mentioned. My website says you can
do it because I've done it myself in my own '89 Westy. The air velocity is
slightly lower (you don't feel it quite as strongly on the back of your neck
while in the front seat) but it works fine. You do have to splice the
connector, which is different.
