Mine is on the aisle floor between the front seats, against the
passenger side seat box. My combustion tubes go horizontally out into
the pass side front wheel-well. The propane line comes in there too. The
hot air blows straight back toward the bench/bed. If I was doing another
one that way I would use the smaller 2000 since the 2800 makes more heat
than needed and will block the seat from swiveling while the 2000
wouldn't block it. We really like the heat from it though. I mounted it
there because I wanted to be able to remove the unit and not leave holes
in the cabinets. Also we were making use of all the cabinet space
already, even the supposed "wasted" "hidden" space by the water tank.

I think Frank Condelli mounts them where Loren suggested, in the small cabinet at the floor next to the bench. Also, I think it was Mark Drillock mounted a 2800 just behind the psgr seat against the base covered by a cabinet he made. That's an ideal location for immediate heat delivery as the duct faces rearward where most of us habit on cold mornings. Those locations are also fairly easy to route the intake/exhaust hoses through the floor to outside.
