Larry, the .010 UHMW Tape-Acrylic Adh tape came from here: <http://www.cshyde.com> $22.04 for the small roll. So, while doing this, one of the areas to be renovated was the RH rear window frame and sliding door track. Yesterday, I got that window frame and sliding door track in fresh paint after hours of prep work, sanding, POR-15ing, putty, primers, etc. So, now to put back the sliding door on the track. Back in July someone here mentioned this UHMW Tape-Acrylic Adh that would work to protect that metal edge where the roller rides from getting all its brand new paint worn off and therefor start the rusting all over again. I had ordered a small roll back then and this is the first time Ive had the opportunity to use it. I cut a 1 strip long enough to cover the entire length of that edge, put on the roller assembly and bolted up the door and low and behold it works like a charm. Awesome and thanks to whomever came up with this idea. Now, no more rusting and spraying that area with rust preventive grease and oils. Now it can stay nice and dry and let the roller do its job as it was designed to do. > > > > > Cheers, > > Frank Condelli > Almonte, Ontario, Canada > '87 VW Westy, '00 Kawasaki 250 Sherpa, "98 Ducati 750 Monster & Lionel Trains (Collection for sale) > Frank Condelli & Associates - Vanagon/Vanagon Westfalia Service in the Ottawa Valley > BusFusion a VW Camper camping event, Almonte, ON, > June 05 ~ 08, 2014 >
