I've stumped quite a few glass installers when it comes to the left rear
side window on a Westy. Only 1 out of 3 was able to complete the job. It
took him 3 hours and he swore he'd never do another.
Cheers,
Jeff

Only front glasses are really breakable through handling and install
.
Keep on asking around , they were politely telling you they did
not want to do that job .
If you are putting new seals in , just replace the front glass
.it is probably way past it useful life . You would not drive a tire past
it's wear bars but most people will drive a windshield until they just can't
see through it , kinda like driving around with steel bands showing through
their tires .
Look on Craigslist , there are some competent guys on there ,
you just need to grill them to see if they understand rubber set windows or
not .
Good luck .
