Yes. Mine locked up solid a couple of years ago, pulled the dash and replaced it with the elcheapo $55.00 replacement fan which howls at low speed. But I took the old one and oiled it up and it works fine-I'm saving it for if/when I have to pull the dash again, it will go back in.
