Jim -

This is referred to as the "Lower Control Box" in ETKA. Fits Late 83-91 as
251 259 109 D (Many times the casting numbers on these plastic parts won't
have the letter suffixes)

The actual 251 259 109 is technically for the Air Cooled Vanagon 80-Early
83 2.0 and Diesels 82-83 according to ETKA (obsolete by VW in November
1997).

Jim Thompson
84 GL 1.9 "Gloria"
84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt"
72 411 Station Wagon "Pug"
75 914 1.8 "Nancy"
Full Timing From March 1999 To January 2012
