I have the altimax rt's 205/70/14r on a 7 passenger tin top. They are more than fine tires for the van. It feels sure footed and they do help in crosswind in comparison to the previous Michelin 185/70/14 tires that were discontinued prior to the altimax. I can speak to these since I have actually used them. I sad to see that they are getting the ax. Oh RT = road touring :) Tony Sent from my iPhone > On Dec 27, 2013, at 4:33 PM, Stacy Schneider <vwcrewman@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > > Really Terrible , I would imagine from that company . > > > Stacy > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On Dec 27, 2013, at 12:07 PM, Robert Stevens <mtbiker62@GMAIL.COM> wrote: >> >> On Dec 27, 2013, at 12:14 PM, Eric Caron <ecaron1@COMCAST.NET> wrote: >> >> I don't know what the RT stands for >> >> Road Touring. >> >> 205/70R14 >> 98T XL 600 A A 1653 lbs. >> 51 psi >> 11/32" >> 21 lbs. 5-7" >> 6" >> 8.2" >> NA >> 25.3" >> 821 >> BR , MX >> >> Looks like a very good Vanagon tire. >> >> bob
