Correct. Unless you add a charger/power supply which can be had for less than $200 which will charge your deep cycle batteries PROPERLY and fast, as well as powering your bits. -craig On Dec 30, 2013, at 1:09 PM, Alain Thibault <alainthibault@TELUS.NET> wrote: > Sorry for the crazy question...just sold my 1993 Westfalia Eurovan and bought a 1986 Westfalia. On the Eurovan Westy (Canadian model) when it was plugged, lights , fridge, aux.heater fan, and all the camper equipment, would be running off the offshore current, not the coach battery, but It would also charge the battery when plugged. My question: with the 1986, my understanding is that when plugged the coach battery does not get charged, and the electrical camper parts like the lights ( except for the fridge, etc) are still running off the coach battery not the offshore current... Is my understanding correct? > Thanks again > Alain > > Sent from my iPad 2
