Ditto... I have been using Sta-Bil for years. Scirocco has Sta-Bil in the tank and it's been the same tank of gas for several years (garage queen). Starts up instantly. -Dick Wong- 78 Scirocco Original Owner 87 Vanagon Syncro 2.5 (slightly crispy) Third Owner 12 Golf TDI Original Co-Owner -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Robert Stevens Sent: Saturday, January 04, 2014 1:23 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Charging battery and life of gas How about putting a container of Sta-Bil in the gas tank? http://www.goldeagle.com/brands/stabil/ Bob On Jan 4, 2014, at 2:08 PM, David M <covrambles@YAHOO.COM> wrote: My van is laid up after failing the emissions test three times. Its 4 months old now and the van still starts but I'm very concerned about it. The tank is about half full. I cannot drive the van as the registration has expired and I need the emissions certificate to register it. David (1987 Wolfsburg, Tempe AZ) ----- No virus found in this message.
